Time to rug up, enjoy some cross country snow shoe walking, skiing or just sitting by a cosy log fire drinking the local Nocino or Vin Brulee. Enjoy the Christmas lights and nativity scenes with the locals and eat the hearty polenta with ragù.
“It's often said, but rarely actual, that one is treated like a member of the family at a B&B. With David and Winnifred at Cherry House, it is really so. We stayed for two days and wish it had been longer, and came away feeling we had stepped into the life of this small village, Polinago, for a short time. David went out of his way to show us the area, and arranged for the car-fanatic in our family to have 30 minutes behind the wheel of a Ferrari, the factory of which is close to Polinago. This is a beautiful part of Italy in the Apennines, and we will be returning.”
