Wild flowers and blossoming trees everywhere with occasional soft, light rain. Perfect weather for walking the sentieri and quiet country roads which criss-cross the rolling hills, or to visit the small mountain villages and enjoy the fresh air.
“It's often said, but rarely actual, that one is treated like a member of the family at a B&B. With David and Winnifred at Cherry House, it is really so. We stayed for two days and wish it had been longer, and came away feeling we had stepped into the life of this small village, Polinago, for a short time. David went out of his way to show us the area, and arranged for the car-fanatic in our family to have 30 minutes behind the wheel of a Ferrari, the factory of which is close to Polinago. This is a beautiful part of Italy in the Apennines, and we will be returning.”
